Buhl Middle School students received information on the dangers of vaping and smoking recently from Cody Orchard, a Health Education Specialist from South Central Health District. Cody coordinates the Tobacco Prevention and Education program for the state of Idaho in the Magic and Wood River Valleys. He received a grant to go into schools to teach students and parents about vaping.
The students learned how smoking and vaping affect the lungs and other parts of the body, the dangers of nicotine use and the health concerns regarding the current chemicals being used in e-cigarettes.
Cody Orchard will also be offering an informational parent presentation on Wednesday, December 19th at 7pm in the high school auditorium. This meeting will be for parents ONLY.
