7th grade students at Buhl Middle School recently had the opportunity to learn more about a career in nursing during a GEAR UP Career Cafe activity. Jenny Hopkins, Kara Ambrose, and Helen Dominguez are all Buhl High School graduates and are currently working as nurses in the Magic Valley. They came to talk with the students and answer questions about their profession. GEAR UP mentors Christine Welch and Lynn Popplewell were also on hand to help with the lunch event, as well as GEAR UP state coordinators, Jacque Dahl and Patty Alonso from Boise.
