Dear parent or guardian,
As we approach the ISAT testing period, we want to provide you with some updates regarding the use of ISAT scores. Strong performance on the test can qualify students for college admissions through Idaho Campus Choice, Idaho’s direct admissions program.
The Idaho Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) evaluates what students know and can do in comparison to grade-level expectations in three areas: Math, English Language Arts, and Science. ISAT scores are an important part of the academic journey.
How it works:
Students have two ways to pre-qualify for admission to every public college and university in Idaho: Earn a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA OR Score a Level 3 (Proficient) or higher on both the 11th Grade English and Math ISAT exams.
An important note: while students who do well on the test will be given opportunities for the future, those who do not score high can still apply to any Idaho college.
Juniors will be testing on the following days:
April 9: Science
April 23 and 25: ELA
April 30 and May 2: Math
Practice tests are helpful to become familiar with the ISAT format. Practice Tests (provided by the Idaho State Department of Education)
