Dear Buhl School District Families and Community,
We have had a great start to the 23-24 school year, and it’s hard to believe we’ve already finished the first quarter. We continue to focus on providing our students with a quality learning experience, as we “Learn with Purpose” in the district. We believe in utilizing a variety of ways to measure our students’ academic success. We are in the process of implementing MAP testing at the secondary level in order to provide us with a more comprehensive picture of our students’ achievement. The elementary school continues to use the Idaho Reading Indicator, I station and other progress monitoring tools to gauge students’ academic progress. Teachers will be using this information to guide their instruction and support their students in the learning process.
We know parental involvement is critical to student success and encourage you to attend Parent Teacher Conferences for your student on Monday, Oct. 16, 1pm-6pm and Tuesday from 4pm-7pm. BHS and BMS are an open house format. The elementary school has scheduled times with each parent. This is a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with their teachers.
I would like to thank our students, staff, families, and community members for everything they do to help us be successful. I am grateful for the support our schools receive, and working together, we will continue to grow as a district and community. Check out the great things that are happening within our district by following us on Facebook and Instagram.
We are “One Tribe.”
Gratefully,
Angie Oparnico
Superintendent, Buhl School District
